Warming Center to open Thursday | News
With temperatures expected to drop below freezing, the Egan Warming Center will open Thursday to give homeless people a place to sleep indoors.
The center will not be ready to open Wednesday night, according to Rebecca Larsen, Saint Vincent dePaul spokeswoman.
This winter, the Egan Warming Center location will rotate among churches in the Eugene/Springfield area. On December 3, the sites are Valley Covenant and First Christian Church. They will open at 7 p.m.
First Christian Church is located at 1166 Oak Street in downtown Eugene.
Valley Covenant is at 3636 West 18th Avenue in the Churchill neighborhood.
